Bottoms up!

On sunday we decided to go out for a drive. The weather was extremely hot and sunny so we didnt want to go too far so we decided to go to Yorkshire Sculpture Park-it’s only about a 50 minute drive from us and we had really enjoyed it and promised we would go back. My daughter had stayed the night and she’d never been so we thought it’d be nice to take a picnic and spend a leisurely afternoon there.

When we arrived we decided to eat first then have a wander. We went down the hill, past the sheep and the Henry Moore sculptures to the lake. We followed it round to a small bridge which was where we saw the geese showing their bottoms (I know thats not what they were doing really but let me imagine..)

We then went round the back of the lake and took a leisurely stroll where I also managed to brieak my shoe; Thanks K for swapping with me for a while so i didnt have to walk all the way round the river with a shoe dangling from my foot! It was around this time that we saw this, isnt that the prettiest little bridge…and it was as tranquil as it looked-it was very busy at the park but it never feels crowdedImage

We carried on as well as you can with one of the party only wearing one shoe, but soon it was time to head inside and we couldnt resist cooling off hereImage

Next it was time for coffee and cake-no pics tho!

Then when we got home some time for a bit of wool and a hook, this time it was finishing off some bunting for a very good cause:
